White Baller Wednesday

New bit where every Wednesday we'll feature a college basketball legend...that was white. Does that sound racist? Probably. But if we called it "Baller Wednesday's", we'd just be featuring a ton of college basketball legends and we all know pretty much all of them wouldn't be white. So just let us do this.

Every so often these players would come around and make us say, "Damn, he might actually make it to the league" - even though he literally had zero chance of making it.

For the inaugural WBW we're going with Drew Neitzel - the smooth left hander from Michigan St. Neitzel was the kind of point that any coach would love to have. High bball IQ and so in control that it seemed like he never made a bad decision. He was even honorable mention All-American his junior season. If I gave you one guess about how his career turned out after he left MSU, you’d probably say he bounced around between overseas ball, the D-League, and 2 week stints in NBA training camps - eventually gave up hoops and became a financial advisor – and you’d be exactly right.
